The issue entitled "The July - August 2021 Wildfires in Greece" is the result of a fruitful collaboration and exchange of knowledge among scientists from the Departments of Geology (Dynamics, Tectonics & Applied Geology and Geography & Climatology) Biology, Physics and Microbiology of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Department of Geography of the Harokopian University of Athens, the Municipality of Rhodes and the Fire Brigade.
The 25th issue of the Newsletter of Environmental, Disaster, and Crisis Management Strategies comes for the first time in an additional, fully online edition.
In addition to the electronic pdf version of the Newsletter, this innovative approach uses the ESRI ArcGIS Hub platform, which incorporates all the advantages of modern digital technology and Geographic Information Systems. The final product is interactive, easily accessible and updatable. Using smart layouts, templates and tools, the platform includes interactive maps and multimedia content that can be configured to better visualaize the available information.
Almost all the content of this issue is available in a dedicated Hub, enriched with interactive time-series maps, videos, before and after images and more.
